Payment Methods in the UAE

This page documents the payment methods across offshore sites, as the UAE is yet to start giving official licenses. Casino Atlas tracks 25 payment methods across the UAE-facing casinos we review. They fall into five groups: credit and debit cards, e-wallets, bank transfers and open banking, prepaid cards and vouchers, and mobile or pay later options.

Credit & Debit Cards

Cards dominate the cashier lists and underperform in practice. UAE banks routinely decline gambling transactions, so a Visa or Mastercard deposit can fail on the bank’s side with no fault at the casino. Apple Pay and Google Pay inherit the same problem, since both run on a linked card.

VISA

VISA

The most commonly listed deposit method, and the one most likely to fail. UAE banks routinely block gambling transactions, so declines are common regardless of the casino.
Mastercard

Mastercard

The same position as Visa, with the same underlying issue. UAE issuers commonly decline gambling transactions, and card withdrawals are rarely offered.
AMEX

AMEX

Carried by few casinos and blocked for gambling by most issuers. Rarely available for withdrawals.
Maestro

Maestro

Effectively a legacy logo. Maestro was withdrawn from circulation years ago, so it rarely processes even when a cashier displays it.
Revolut

Revolut

Processes as an ordinary Visa or Mastercard, so it faces the same restrictions as any card. Revolut also blocks gambling merchants by default.

E-Wallets

E-wallets are the more reliable route. Skrill, Neteller, Payz, and MiFinity all handle withdrawals, though funding them without touching a UAE card is the real hurdle. Balances are usually held in USD or EUR, so treat any claim of AED support as something to verify.

PayPal

PayPal

Available in the UAE but rarely usable at casinos, since PayPal does not process for offshore gambling operators. Where it appears, it is usually a global template.
Paytm

Paytm

An Indian wallet and UPI service, not a UAE one. It needs an Indian bank account and mobile number, so it only suits residents who still bank in India.
Skrill

Skrill

One of the more workable options here, with two-way support at most casinos that list it. Funding it without touching a UAE card is the practical hurdle.
Neteller

Neteller

Run by the same operator as Skrill, with much the same profile. The two are commonly offered together.
Payz

Payz

Formerly ecoPayz, carried by many offshore casinos and usable for withdrawals. Balances are typically held in USD or EUR rather than AED.
MuchBetter

MuchBetter

A mobile wallet built for gambling payments, with PIN approval and quick payouts. Funding options from the UAE are limited.
MiFinity

MiFinity

An iGaming wallet with broad currency coverage and two-way processing. Its eVoucher route is the usual way in when direct funding fails.
Jeton

Jeton

Reasonably well carried at casinos serving the Middle East and Asia, with deposits and withdrawals both supported.
Apple Pay

Apple Pay

Live in the UAE and simple on mobile, but it draws on a UAE card, so it inherits the same blocking problem. Deposits only.
Google Pay

Google Pay

Holds the same position as Apple Pay. It runs on a linked card, so a blocked card blocks the payment, and it is deposit-only.

Bank Transfers & Open Banking

As UAE has a large expat population, players from all over the world with their own banking or financial wallet services often find themselves using those to fund their wallets. Offshore casinos offering their services to Emirati players or expats in the UAE might feature several of these methods.

Bank Transfer

Bank Transfer

Rarely smooth here, since few UAE banks have tie-ups with offshore operators and gambling transfers are commonly flagged. Slow when it works at all.
Trustly

Trustly

European open banking with no UAE bank coverage. Where it appears in a cashier, it is left over from a global template.
Zimpler

Zimpler

A Nordic open banking service with no UAE bank coverage. Listed occasionally, but not a usable route from here.

Prepaid Cards & Vouchers

Prepaid cards and cash vouchers are a good way to keep your bank, card, or e-wallet details separate from casino activity. Needless to say, if that is your priority, then crypto is the best way for UAE players (we track those separately). Note that these cannot be used for withdrawals, only deposits.

PaysafeCard

Paysafecard

A prepaid voucher bought with cash, so it works for deposits only. UAE retail availability is limited, and most vouchers come from online resellers.
Neosurf

Neosurf

Another cash-bought voucher with thin UAE retail coverage. Deposits only, with no route back for a payout.
Flexepin

Flexepin

A prepaid voucher built mainly for Canadian and Australian retail. UAE availability is limited, so it is rarely the practical choice.
AstroPay

AstroPay

A prepaid card with real traction across the Middle East, loaded before you spend at the casino. Deposits mainly, with limited withdrawal support.

Mobile & Pay Later

A couple of mobile-based pay later services might also be present on select UAE casino sites.

Boku

Boku

Charges the deposit to your mobile phone bill. UAE carrier support is limited, and it is deposit-only with low limits.
Siru Mobile

Siru Mobile

Another phone-bill payment service, built for Nordic and European carriers. It has no UAE carrier support, so it rarely works from here.
Klarna

Klarna

A buy now, pay later service, so a deposit becomes a debt repaid later. Klarna’s own terms exclude gambling, and it does not operate in the UAE.

Key Takeaways

  • Card declines are the norm, not the exception. UAE banks routinely block gambling transactions.

  • E-wallets carry the withdrawals. Skrill, Neteller, Payz, and MiFinity all pay out, and are ideal if you must use fiat.

  • Several listed methods you will find on offshore casinos do not work from the UAE. Check properly before you deposit.

UAE Payment Method FAQs

  • Why did my Visa or Mastercard deposit fail?

UAE banks routinely block gambling transactions, so the decline usually comes from your bank rather than the casino. An e-wallet is the common alternative.
  • Which methods actually pay out at UAE-facing casinos?

E-wallets, mainly. Skrill, Neteller, Payz, and MiFinity all support withdrawals, while cards and vouchers are deposit-only at most sites.
  • Do UAE-facing casinos support AED balances?

Rarely. Most offshore operators settle in USD or EUR, so treat any AED claim as something to confirm in the cashier before you deposit.
  • Can I use Paytm from the UAE?

Only if you still hold an Indian bank account and mobile number. Paytm is an Indian service, so UAE banking does not connect to it.
  • Why do casinos list methods that do not work here?

Cashier logo strips are usually global templates reused across markets. Trustly, Zimpler, Klarna, and Flexepin all appear this way without UAE support behind them.
