Interac & Canadian Banking
Interac e-Transfer is the reference point. It is accepted at nearly every CA-facing casino, works in both directions, and settles in CAD with no conversion step. A site that cannot process an Interac withdrawal is worth a second look.
Interac
The default Canadian casino payment, accepted at nearly every CA-facing site and usable in both directions. e-Transfer deposits are near-instant, and Interac payouts are usually the fastest available.
Gigadat
The processor behind Interac e-Transfer at many offshore casinos, sometimes shown as its own cashier option. Functionally it is Interac, so treat the two as one rail.
iDebit
Pays directly from your online banking with no card involved, and works for withdrawals at most sites that list it. Offshore rather than Ontario-regulated.
Instadebit
A Canadian bank-to-bank service much like iDebit, with the same two-way support. First-time setup needs bank verification, after which deposits are instant.
Bank Transfers
Interac is preferred over any other bank transfer method, which is slow. But in the case of offshore casinos or during outages, bank transfers might be your only reliable and secure way to withdraw.
Bank Transfer
A direct transfer from your bank account, offered at most casinos as a fallback. Slower than Interac and usually reserved for larger amounts.
Wire Transfer
For large withdrawals only. Expect bank fees at both ends and several business days, which makes it a poor choice for routine cashouts.
eCheck
An electronic cheque drawn on your bank account, still offered by some offshore casinos for larger payouts. Clearing takes several business days.
Trustly
Open banking that moves money straight between your bank and the casino, with no separate account to register. Used by several Ontario-regulated operators as well as offshore sites.
Zimpler
A Nordic open banking service that appears on some international cashiers. Canadian bank coverage is limited, so it is rarely the practical choice over Interac.
Credit & Debit Cards
AGCO-regulated Ontario sites often carry cards with fast processing. These often include both, credit and debit cards. Be mindful of playing with credit cards, as the credit can pile up pretty fast.
VISA
Works reliably on Ontario-regulated sites and less so offshore, where Canadian issuers often decline gambling transactions. Deposits only at most casinos, with payouts routed elsewhere.
Mastercard
The same picture as Visa. It is dependable on regulated Ontario sites and patchy offshore, and card withdrawals are uncommon either way.
AMEX
Accepted at far fewer casinos than Visa or Mastercard, and commonly blocked for gambling by the issuer. Rarely available for withdrawals.
Maestro
Effectively a legacy logo in Canada, where Interac has always handled debit. It rarely processes even when shown in a cashier.
E-Wallets
E-wallets are the main way to fund a wallet on offshore casino sites that do not have cards and Interac. The variety of e-wallets will be different from casino to casino, and all offer their own pros and cons.
PayPal
Common on AGCO-regulated Ontario sites and rare offshore, since PayPal will not process for unlicensed operators. Where it is offered, it handles deposits and withdrawals.
Skrill
A long-standing iGaming wallet with reliable two-way support at offshore casinos. Ontario-regulated operators generally do not offer it.
Neteller
Run by the same operator as Skrill, with much the same profile and fast withdrawals. Offshore rather than Ontario-regulated.
Payz
Formerly ecoPayz, still carried by many offshore casinos and usable for withdrawals. CAD support varies, so check before you deposit.
MuchBetter
A mobile-first wallet built for gambling payments, with PIN approval and quick payouts. Offshore only, and less widely carried in Canada than Skrill.
MiFinity
A newer iGaming wallet with two-way processing and CAD support at some casinos. Its eVoucher option is the usual funding workaround.
Jeton
More common at Asian-facing and European casinos than Canadian ones. Where a CA-facing site does list it, deposits and withdrawals both work.
Apple Pay
Live in Canada and offered by a growing number of Ontario-regulated sites, though still uncommon offshore. Deposits only, since payouts cannot route back to it.
Google Pay
Holds the same position as Apple Pay. It is available in Canada, more common on regulated sites than offshore, and a deposit method only.
Prepaid Cards & Vouchers
Prepaid cards and vouchers are for depositing only, and cannot be used for withdrawal. These are preferred by players who would rather not connect their bank or card details with a casino.
Paysafecard
A prepaid voucher bought with cash at retail, so it works for deposits only. Privacy-friendly, because the top-up does not show as a casino transaction on your statement.
Flexepin
The prepaid voucher most commonly carried by CA-facing casinos, sold at retail across Canada. Deposit-only, so pair it with Interac for withdrawals.
Neosurf
Another cash-bought prepaid voucher, less widely stocked in Canada than Flexepin. Deposits only, with no route back for a payout.
CashtoCode
Generates a barcode you settle in cash at a retail till, or pay through online banking. Deposit-only, and aimed at players who would rather not use a card.
AstroPay
A prepaid card you load before spending at the casino, more common in Latin America and Asia than in Canada. Deposits mainly, with limited withdrawal support.
EntroPay
A discontinued virtual Visa card service. Entropay shut down in 2019, so a logo in any cashier is left over from an old template rather than a working option.
